Dictionary of Terms In Blogs

* Blog

Podcasting: a method for distributing multimedia files (video / audio) online via feeds
Autocasting: podcasting form automatically.
Blogcasting: merging blogs and postcas in a wensite.
Vlog / Vlogging: blogging types who prefer to use a video rather than text.
Audioblog / Audioblogging: blogging types who prefer to use audio / music rather than text.
Moblogs / Moblogging blogging activities by using HP (mobile).

* Components and Functions Blog
Index page: the front page of the blog.
Header: the very top of the blog.
Footer: the very bottom of the blog.
Sidebar: columns that are on the blog.
Link: process for connecting to a posting / content or to the web / blog to another.
Archive: a collection / archive of all postings. Can be grouped into months, years etc..
Categories: set / specific group of several articles.
Commnets: Kompentar-comments from the readers of the blog.
Captcha: short for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart", which is an image that contains the word or letters that must be typed in for verification. Useful to prevent spam.
Ping (Packet Internet Grouper): serves to inform the services related to blogs (like tchnocarty et al) that we are only adding and updating our blog content.
Trackback: work to tell him that we had a link to a blog posting or content of others.
Blogroll: dijukan set of links to other blogs.
Template: basic design blog.
Plugin: A file that serves to add feature2 blog.
Dashboard: a view that contains controls, tools, settings, etc. The first time we log into the blog account.

* Service Provider Blog
Blogger / Blogspot: free blogging service from Google.

Blogorific / Blogtastic One thing that is awesome from what bloggers.
Blogsit: Maintenance of a blog when the blog's main owners are traveling or on vacation.
Blogvertising / Blogvert: The ads on the blog.
Blurker: Readers blog only to see it, no comment or anything.
Blogathon: mengaupdate blog every 30 minutes and for 24 hours non-stop.
Blogiversary: Blog Birthdays.
Blog Carnival: Links to other articles that are disguised with a specific topic.
Multiblog: run a lot of blogs.
Blog Tipping: praise or congratulations every 1st of each month.
Blogger Bash: Feast of the bloggers.
Reciprocal Links / Link Exchange: or the Link Love, mutual-link between a single blog with other blogs.
Linkbaiting: write a great article that is linked by other blogs.
Hitnotice: refresh the browser repeatedly to see the hit-counter or see if any new comments or not.
Blogstorm / Blogswarm: The blogger community is very large.
Blogsnop: reject responses from commentators who are not his friend.
Doppelblogger: bloggers who copy content from the blogs of others.
Blogophobia afraid of blogs or blogging.
Blogeerel: the same opinion that was sent over and over on a blog.

Blognoscenti: Bloggers who have special abilities.
Commnetariat: Community of commentators (you know there emangnya?: D).
Dooced: lost jobs because of their blogs.
Blogther: friend / relative / family bloggers.
Blogstar: Bloggers who operates a very popular blog.

* Web / Blog Feeds
Web Feeds: format data provided to users to be able to subscribe in a blog posting.
RSS: is an XML-formatted file for sindikas. RSS allows us to subscribe to the web / blogs that provide feeds (feed) RSS. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication (RSS 2.0), Rich Site Summary (RSS 0.91, RSS 1.0), RDF Site Summary (RSS 0.9 and 1.0).
XML (eXtensible Markup Language).
RDF (Resource Description Framework)
Atom: almost the same with web feeds.
Photofeed: web feeds with an image attachment.
