This paper is a summary of the post Nofie Faith on a number of mistakes that beginners often do the bloggers. I am compelled to blog on WP serious rada one of them by this title. Indeed, here and there I was cut or added (a little), without changing the substance, to be more comfortable and fast food. May be useful for all, including me who is also a beginner! : D
Mistake 1: Launching before there is a clear theme
Most blogging tools in a variety of services such as the WP blog offers the default theme. Usually a beginner, they still survive on these themes for some time. But if you really seriously want to create a blog with a loyal reader, then it is appropriate that you make a separate theme. It is true, once the technical themes affairs. But at least, try to find a unique theme. Perform the modification, although only perfunctory. Importantly, these modifications are sufficient to distinguish your blog from other blogs.
Mistake 2: Unregularly posts
When you decide to make a blog, it means you are committed to filling it periodically. It is true that the discipline is an attitude rather difficult to sustain. Whether because of time constraints, forgetfulness, or other reasons that might arise. In fact, 500 words or 2-3 links of interest alone is sufficient poured in a post. Maintaining a blog as well as raising animals or domesticated plants. It's okay, when you occasionally forget to feed it. However, if it keeps you do, do not you know the consequences?
Mistake 3: The obsession over the comments, trackbacks, and statistics
Do not assume that a post not mean anything if you have not given any comments or ditrackback of blogs / websites. In the early days of blogging, beginners often check the comments (via RSS) every hour or two once (once there are Awstats and Webalizer to see the traffic, keywords that refer to blog). Now it's easier because there are facilities in the WP. But that's just in vain. As long as you have written a good, readable format, and a clear vision or goal, the visitors will come by itself. Believe me, excessive obsession with the comment, trackback, or Statistically, only will bring about depression in yourself.
Mistake 4: The obsession over the feature
Blogger beginners tend to obsessively on features that actually have not really necessary. Call it blogshares, blogsnob, Amazon wishlist, flickr, del.icio.us, podcasting, Google Adsense, and many more. Though better prioritize the standard features. Syndication Atom / RSS / RDF might have become a primary need at this time. But more than that, visitors may be looking for information that is unique and original. Legitimate you add this feature-it in your blog. But first, make sure that they really need it, or at least, they are not bothered by it.
Mistake 5: Which one is important and what is not important
Many bloggers beginners, especially teenagers, who posted the trifles such as how many times they sneezed in one day, how much they gebetan ngontak every day, how they are so annoying teacher that day, and things are not at all the other essential. It is true that blogs are similar to an online diary. But please distinguish between things that should be written in the blog and things are quite personal diary written in it.
Mistake 6: Copy-paste the resignation
Blankspot not only occur in telecommunications alone. Sometimes the head of the head of a blogger feels so empty, so there is absolutely no inspiration to write. However, if forced to do copy-paste, always remember to include original source, traced not just raw, and even better if at least one or two sentences that contain a unique comment or response from you.
Mistake 7: Excessive Ambition
Some bloggers beginner, sometimes hoping to be able to soon achieve fame in the blogging world in an instant. Obviously it is something impossible. Even the author of a book / novel best-seller just wrote only one or two paragraphs a day, then left to conduct other activities, and gradually solve them later. In the blogging world, fame is not obtained within one day. If you want fame, do it with patience. Set realistic targets and reasonable. Do not be selfish. Do blogwalking and qualified enough to leave a comment on another blog. Reply with both the incoming e-mail or comment to your blog. After all, Rome was not built in a day and night, right?
Mistake 8: Address URL that never stops running
Perhaps this is less relevant today. But the past, it is very difficult (and expensive) to get a domain and hosting is quite reliable. The solution, a free hosting facilities to answer. At a glance, from the cost side is indeed a cost-effective practical solutions. However, be aware that there's no free lunch. One by one the free facilities began to fall. They began to limit the bandwidth, the facilities, remove FTP access and CGI, and some others began to impose cost is actually higher. As a result, must often mutually URL address. You do not often feel irritated when your friend frequently changing numbers so that when you need it, it is very difficult for you to contact him?
In conclusion, do not get stuck sensation of "feeling" in the world so this virtual blogspots!
